Assistant Manager Underwriting (Code: AM-UND)

Responsibilities:
- Determine whether application for insurance cover should be accepted, and on what terms.
- Assess a risk by calculating possible risk and choose how much the prospective client should pay
- Choose whether the risk should be shared with a reinsurer
- Weigh up a number of factors by gathering and assessing background information in detailed to minimize losses and support company to make profit.
- Gathering information and various types of reports such as medical records from subordinate.
- Negotiating terms with policyholders or brokers (if any)
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Medical Doctor from any reputable university
- Minimum 4 years experience as Underwriting in Life Insurance industry with at least 1 year as Assistant Manager.
- Able to absorb technical information
- Able to work with tight deadlines and under pressure situation
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
