G-Resources is a Hong Kong listed gold miner and explorer. It has bought the world-class Martabe gold-silver project in northern Sumatera, Indonesia. Already in development, Martabe is expected to commence commissioning at the end of 2010 with first gold poured in early 2011. The plant is capable of producing at a rate of 250,000oz gold and 3M oz silver per annum.
Martabe with a resource base of 6.5Moz gold and 66Moz silver will form the core starter asset around which a globally competitive, Asia-Pacific focused gold company will be built. G-Resources seeks to rapidly grow production to more than one million ounces of gold annually through exploration of the large and highly prospective Martabe property and through acquisition of other quality gold assets.
PT Agincourt Resources is now pleased to invite applications for the following role:
Project Financial Controller (PRO-0859)
This position will be based at Martabe Site reporting directly to the Martabe Project Manager. The Project Financial Controller position exists primarily to provide financial control and advice to the Martabe Project Manager for the Martabe Project’s construction phase. The appointment will be on a fixed term basis initially for 18 months.
This position is accountable for all financial and accounting responsibilities of the Construction Project including:
- Develop budget and forecast processes and help project manager with monthly reporting.
- Reconcile the EPCM data and owners costs to ensure the transparency and accuracy of data
- Ensure effective accounting functions for the Martabe Project, including systems, policies and procedures for the construction phase.
- Ensure end of month project functions are managed in an accurate and timely fashion to meet project and corporate requirements.
- Review monthly project reports to ensure accuracy
- Establish & Maintain the Martabe Asset registers.
Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications and experience:
- 5 to 10 years experience in financial control of a major capital project, preferably in mining
- Project Controls – fundamentals and application within a major capital project (Mining)
- Sound knowledge of project management systems and processes
- Sound knowledge of contract management and procurement best practice
- Sound knowledge of internal control requirements on medium to large capital projects
- Knowledge on the applicable laws & regulations of the Republic of Indonesia especially related to mining.
- Periodic travel to Jakarta and Brisbane will be required. Camp accommodation is provided on site based on a 28/14 days FIFO roster.
