Furniture Industrial Engineer (IE)
(Jawa Tengah – Semarang)
Responsibilities:
Job Descriptions:
- Establishing and organizing the division’s annual work plot to be further discussed and proposed in the managerial meeting;
- Elaborating the division’s work plot complied with company work plot.
- Providing the division’s work plot to team leaders in charge for the duties
- Applying statistical methods and perform mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, staff requirements and production standards
- Coordinating quality control objectives and activities to resolve production problems, maximizing product reliability and minimizing cost
- Countering with vendors, staff and management personnel regarding buys, procedures, product specifications, manufacturing capabilities and project status
- Drafting and designing layout of equipment, materials and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency using drafting tools and computer
- Reviewing production schedules, engineering specifications, orders and related information to obtain knowledge of manufacturing methods, procedures and activities.
- Communicating with management and user personnel to develop production and design standards
- Estimating production cost and effect of product design changes for management review, action and control.
- Formulating sampling procedures and designs and develop forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
- Recording or overseeing recording of information to ensure currency of engineering drawings and documentation of production problems
- Studying operation sequence, material flow, functional statements, organization charts, and project information to determine worker functions and responsibilities
- Directing workers engaged in product measurement, inspection and testing activities to ensure quality control and reliability.
- Implementing methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and defective or hurt parts and asses cost and responsibility
- Evaluating precision and accuracy of production and testing equipment and engineering drawings to formulate corrective action plot
- Analyzing statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and establish quality and reliability objectives of finished product
- Developing manufacturing methods, labor utilization standards, and cost analysis systems to promote efficient staff and facility utilization
- Recommending methods for improving utilization of personnel, material and utilities.
- Plotting and establishing sequence of operations to fabricate and assemble parts or products and to promote efficient utilization.
- Completing production reports, buy orders and material, tool and equipment lists
- Scheduling deliveries based on production forecasts, material substitutions, storage and handling facilities and maintenance requirements
- Regulating and altering workflow schedules according to established manufacturing sequences and lead times to expedite production operations
- Conducting daily, weekly and monthly monitoring/review towards the implementation of work plot of his dept.
- Conducting daily, weekly and monthly monitoring/review towards the implementation of company regulation, stipulation and the established work procedures
- Monitoring any issues regarding cleanliness, orderliness and working atmosphere in his department
- Evaluating cost efficiency in Engineering department
- Providing instructions and guidance to increase cost efficiency in Engineering dept
- Making evaluation on employees’ performances and their skill in Engineering dept
- Taking and giving contribution regarding various things related to his duties in his own division or other divisions and proceeding the contribution
- Carrying out the established working procedure and system in order to optimize the work results of his dept
- Providing suggestions regarding some changes of procedure and system in his dept
- Providing suggestion regarding the employees’ development program required to develop/improve employees’ skills in his dept
- Providing employees’ transfer and promotion in his division after having approved by R & D Manager in order to optimize the employees’ skills/abilities in his work area
- Providing work reports of his dept to be further forwarded to the R & D Manager
- Providing relevant information/reports to the related divisions/department as approved by the R & D Manager
- Coordinating and liaising with other divisions for the smoothness of work processes.
Requirements:
- Min. S1 (LPDI PIKA)
- Strong Leadership, understanding plotting & budgeting
- Having related working experiences min. 3 years
- Managerial Skill, Computer literate & English Fluently
- Have depth access on handicraft accessories, stone, silver, gold for furniture industry
- Structure of design based on construction concept and material science
- Having an improvement neither in process product and people
- Make, improve & test new product
- Research new construction & material
