The School of Political Science has three majors, namely Governance, Global Studies (i.e. International Relations) and Political System and Political Behavior. The education atmosphere at Bakrie University’s School of Political Science is specifically designed for raising students’ awareness and participation in emerging issues and local dynamics.

Bakrie’s School of Political Science trains students to be creative and innovative in contextualizing their political views through various media. The curriculum and lectures are closely contextualized, emerging from on-going dynamics and subject matters forecasted as future trends. Students are trained to improve their soft skills, develop their sense of leadership, enrich their analytical method, and weigh ethical debates for active and progressive participation in both academia and praxis.

As well, skills for team work, problem solving, public services also conflict management and resolution are highlighted and taught.

Position

Lecturer and Researcher in the field of Governance, Global Studies, and Political System and Political Behavior

Key Responsibilities

• To conduct lectures, seminars, tutorials and academic consultations
• To research and disseminate knowledge through conferences and publications
• To be involved in professional activities and/or programs involving practitioners in the field

Requirements

• A Doctoral or Master’s Degree in Political Science, International Politics, Political Economy, Governance, or Public Policy
• Professional experiences in the academic and/or non-academic environment and a record of high quality teaching
• Mature, with strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work in a team
• Excellent leadership, have managerial skills and able to work effectively with minimal direct supervision
• Fluent in both spoken and written English
• Skilled in various computer applications (Office, Internet, proficiency in research software application)
